Bonnie

Bonnie says, "I started windsurfing in the late 80's to help clear my head and heart after a tough breakup. To survive on the water, you must focus. It is very healing and empowering to find that perfect balance between the wind, the water, your equipment and your heart. By channeling that strength, I have been able to achieve many successes in my life, especially the inner rewards of helping others."

Bonnie started her accomplished philanthropic legacy as the Founding Director of the modeling industry's first non-profit organization, the DISHES Project for Pediatric AIDS. For more than a decade she hosted over 35 DISHES fundraising events across the nation. She dedicated her life working to generate funding and awareness for direct care, education and prevention for children impacted by HIV/ AIDS and their families.

She is highly recognized for her work and has received many prestigious awards such as the 10th Anniversary Northern Lights Alternatives' Vision Award, Little Flower Children's services of New York's Recognition Award, Youth EnterNet's Issues Awareness Award, and Edwin Gould Services for Children & Families' Humanitarian Award. Bonnie sits on the Board of Trustees for the Charles Evans Foundation, which honors the memory of her late husband. She resides in Manhattan where she continues to touch lives and help those in need.
